We did not reinvent jug fishing. We built the Flipping Float™ to make it cleaner, faster, and easier to manage. Purpose-built for catfish jug fishing, this compact float system helps anglers deploy quickly, detect bites instantly, store gear neatly, and spend more time focused on catching fish.
- Built Strong in the USA — Constructed from a 6" x 6", 2" thick closed-cell foam body reinforced with internal fiberglass rods. The rigging hardware is incorporated into the fiberglass structure where the 200-pound test braided nylon line attaches, creating a strong, integrated system.
- Ready to Fish Out of the Box — Comes pre-rigged with 20 feet of 200-pound test braided nylon line, a 1-ounce barrel weight, barrel swivel, 7-inch 100-pound test leader, and a 7/0 circle hook. Attach the bite-indicator flag, add bait, and drop it in.
- Quick to Deploy & Store — The line wraps neatly around the square float, and the hook tucks safely into the foam. It is fast to put in the water, fast to retrieve, and easy to pack when it is time to move locations or head home.
- Instant Bite Detection — The reflective bite-indicator flag gives you a clear visual signal when a fish strikes. Red side up means you are fishing; when the float flips and the green side is up, it is time to check your line.

Set your Flipping Float™ to the desired depth, attach the bite-indicator flag, add bait, and place it in the water. The float is designed for quick setup, easy deployment, and simple retrieval.
When retrieving a fish or working free from a snag, always pull on the line — not the float. Wrap your 200 lb. braided nylon line around the boat cleat — don’t tie it off, just lock it down so you can release it quickly — then use your boat to lift, straighten the hook, or break the line clean.
Note: Available only in white, this product can be customized with spray paint in any color you like.

The Flipping Float™ does not automatically include a storage crate. A bright orange milk crate may be available separately while supplies last, but we also recommend a simple 1/2" PVC pipe storage setup because it is affordable, compact, and easy to keep out of the way in the boat.

That float was personalized with spray paint. You can pick up bright spray paint from a local hardware store and customize one side, both sides, or leave it white depending on your preference.
No, the PVC pipe is not included, but it is highly recommended for storage. A 5-foot section of 1/2" PVC pipe can store up to 30 floats. Since each float is 2 inches thick, multiply 2 inches by the number of floats you have, then add around 6 inches for a grip area.
A milk crate holds around 16 floats. The orange milk crate may be available while supplies last, but for most anglers the PVC pipe storage method is more compact, more affordable, and easier to keep out of the way while fishing.
Always check your local fishing regulations first. Many anglers use larger legal bait options for larger catfish, such as live bait or cut bait, depending on the water, the season, and the fish they are targeting.
Yes. The Flipping Float™ can be used in deeper water by adding more line. Simply extend the line using your preferred knot and adjust the rigging as needed for the depth you are fishing.
